Snowmen Quilted Placemats

I started a new project this week for our quilting bazaar in November. I know it's a little early to start but lots of other projects could get in my way between now and November.

The top of placemat #1 is all I have completed. So lots more work to do on these quilted placemats.

The placemats are "Take Four" by Cary Flanagan with a copyright of 2008 Something Sew Fine Quilt Design. Here's a pic of the pattern:

You can see the pattern has horizontal strips and assembling; then vertical cuts and assembling. There is also shuffling of the strip stacks. There are four versions of placemats in the pattern; I'm making version two. The pattern is a bit confusing but fun to make.  I'll post more on my project as I progress.

Thanks for stopping in - Judy.

  1. Never too early to start a challenge project. Ours is due in Feb but I have to get done before I'm into Christmas projects and snowbirding to Fl. I like your choice. The pattern makes a great place mat layout.
