Where To Go - CCC3 Challenge 20

Thanks to Linda Ledbetter and the Curiosity Crew over at Linda's blog, we are having Challenge 20 for Compendiums of Curiosity 3 from Tim Holtz book. The challenge is Distress Watercoloring, Part 2 on page 20 of Tim's book. You do need to work from a copy of his book to participate.

The Funkie Junkie Boutique is sponsoring this Challenge and thanks to the owner, Linda Coughlin, a $25 shopping spree will be given to one lucky winner.

For my entry, I created a small memory board of a cruise that some travelers might have taken. There are pieces of memorabilia from the cruise as well as a postcard where I used the technique from p40 of the book. Take a look:

The project is mounted on a artists canvas that was sealed with gesso and painted with Distress Paint.

Another Page for My Vintage Scrapbook

About 10 years ago, I began a scrapbook of my parents' life. Throughout the project, I have added to pages and taken some apart and changed their look. It's amazing how your scrapbooking evolves over time. Today's photograph is from a page that I originally scrapped a number of years ago and decided to take apart and create a new page with a more vintage look.

The photograph is of my Mom's grandparents (my great grandparents) and is an amazing picture from so many years ago. Luckily, the old page came apart very easily so new papers and elements could be used.

I haven't shared many pages from this scrapbook but today must be a good day to share. Thanks for stopping by - Judy.

January Tag for the 12 Tags of 2015

Wow, it's a new year and time to start the 12 Tags of 2015 over at Tim Holtz.com. Here's a look at Tim's January tag.

My tags are finished. Tim doesn't know it, but I usually make two of ever tag and use them in each of my two grandson's scrapbooks. The tags always seem to work just perfect on their pages.

I mostly just show one of the tags but today, I'll share both with you. Each is just a bit different and I am happy with them.

Here's a shot of the two tags:

Here are pics of each individually:

Thanks Tim and team for continuing the 12 Tags of 2015 series - Judy
