Halloween Tag with a Resist Technique

I love thinking about Halloween and making projects for that spooky time of the year. Today I made a Halloween Tag and stamped the spooky house and a couple of cracks with Glue n' seal to form a resist.

After reading Hels Sheridan's blog - Ink on My Fingers and her technique of stamping with Glue n' seal to form a resist, I just had to try the technique. Wow, it was fun and worked. Thanks Hels.

Halloween Tag

Gosh, selecting a favorite stamping all star could be a tough one but one of my favorites is Stamper Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection Apothecary.

To feature this set, I have created a Halloween tag.

I used some of my favorite Distress Stains and brayered them on the tag, dried it with a heat tool, then flicked some water on the tab for an interesting effect and again hit it with the heat tool.                                                     The edges of the tag were stained multiple times with Distress Stains.

Happy Halloween was stamped using a Ranger Embossing Pad and Ranger Super Fine Detail Black Embossing Powder.
The skull was stamped using the same process as the Happy Halloween except it was stamped on white paper then cut out and glued on with Glossy Accents.

The skeleton Chitchat Verbiages was distressed with Distress Stains and added to the tag.

The rope was frayed, sprayed and added to the tag. I thought it kind of looked like hair.

There you have it my Halloween Tag. - Judy
