I've been participating in some of Linda Ledbetter's Compendium of Curiousities III Challenges. This week the challenge is Stamps and Framelits from page 63 of Tim Holtz' book Compendium of Curiosities III. Here's my entry for the challenge:
The stamps and framelits are from his Holiday Joy set. The title "Joy" was inked with Ranger Archival -Wendy Vecchi Vermillion, the trees with Ranger Archival - Wendy Vecchi Fern Green; and the deer with Ranger Archival Ink - Coffee.
The word band and flowers above was inked with Adirondack Alcohol Inks red pepper and oregano.
The challenge was fun and the framelits and stamps were neat to work with.

My background was corrugated cardboard that was embossed with white embossing powder. Three papers from TH Motif Resist Paper Stash(6 x 6 designs) were inked with salty ocean and stormy sky. The edges were torn and inked again with stormy sky. Love the resist!

Gorgeous scene! Love the vivid blue and the set you used! Thanks so much for playing along with our Stamps & Framelits challenge at CC3Challenge!!!
ReplyDeleteJudy....this is so cute!!! Great job with all of your layers! They are wonderful. The embossed kraft colored corrugated background provides a great "setting" for the beautiful blues, green and reds. Love your resist papers with the blues ...great colors! Your tall pines framelits create quite a lovely forest for your adorable reindeer. Love the little mirrored star in the sky, too. Your also did a wonderful job of adding nice details to the bottom with the foliage and the word band. Thanks so much for sharing your art with us at CC3C. <3 Candy

One of my favorite framelits sets! This is so cute against the corrugated cardboard. I'm going to have to put that in my lineup to try sometime soon. YOU did it so well!
