The challenge this week at Simon Says Monday Challenge is Embossed. As you know, I have been busy creating projects and I haven't made a single card but today I am making a Halloween card and a small easel so it can sit up.
The easel was added to allow the card to stand up, the wings were popped up to hold back the card.
I dry embossed the checkerboard folder after I inked the inside top portion of it with Watering Can ink (the gray was great to work with). It's one of the new Archival colors. Then after the embossing, I distressed the raised checkerboards with the Orange Blossom Archival. I am so pleased with the look!
The stamps were stamped with clear embossing ink and embossing powders. The two bottles were a mixture of black and green powders, the Love Potion sign was a mix of brown, orange and black powders; the spells book was all black.
The inside and back of the card were finished with additional checkerboard dry embossing and heat embossing powders on the captions, skull, bird cage, and candle.
