Hope you have had a good week. I am working with hexagons, paint, distress inks and lots of water for this project.
Over at Moxie Fab World, there is a Happy for Hexagons Challenge. Take a look at my project and you'll get the idea.
I used a piece of sticky back canvas, a Heidi Swapp hexagon stencil and applied Claudine Hellmuth multi-medium matte then let it dry for quite a while.
After it was dry, I diluted several smears of paint on my non-stick craft sheet with water. Then began painting on the different colors and dabbed the canvas with a paper towel to absorb some of the extra paint. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the canvas before I stamped the dragonfly.
The dragonfly was stamped with Archival Black ink on the canvas then stamped again on watercolor paper. Both images were colored with Ranger TH Distress Markers then blended with a water brush detailed tip. The watercolor dragonfly was cut out and ready to add to the canvas. The wings were bent a little so the dragonfly seemed to be flying.
There you have it hexagons and life's journey - Judy.
