A New Log Cabin Design in Purples and Yellows

I started a new log cabin tablerunner today. This time, I did not use a jellyroll and was very careful in my fabric selection especially since I wasn't happy with the jellyroll strips for my last project. My fabrics include three purples and three yellows.

My quilting guild challenged us to make projects using the log cabin designs so I am continuing this challenge with my newest project. I think I have adequate contrast and saturation with these fabrics.

I have one block completed to share with you. The other three blocks are just about done too.  The center block is green and I plan to use this green for the backing and maybe a border.

I'll give you an update in a few days when this project is done. Thanks for stopping by and hope you have time to leave a message - Judy.

  1. I like using complimentary colors in my quilting, too. Red and green are my favorite pair, although I've used orange and blue more often. Love your choices.

  2. Those fabrics are GORGEOUS! They are so rich that I thought they were batiks. On second look maybe not.

I am visiting from https://dreamworthyquilts.blogspot.com/ even though I am logged into a different google account.
