The Time Traveler

I am excited to be working with Tim Holtz papers from his Paper Stash Collage 8x8 inch and have created The Time Traveler. "A Vintage Journey" is starting a vintage challenge and it's all about Tim.

The pieces were cut from the paper stash then inked on the edges. The time traveler himself is popped up as well as the sign his hand is resting on. I stamped on velum and glued it to the clock. I thought of stamping on the clock but felt it might not be very visible. A metallic wax finish was applied with my finger on the upper corner piece, along the edges of the tag, sign, and just a bit along the traveler himself and the "Time" letters.

I was really short on time tonight but wanted to participate before I leave on a trip tomorrow morning - Judy.

Supplies:
Tim Holtz Idealogy - Film Strip Ribbon
Distress Ink - gathered twigs
Manila Tag
Treasure Gold Metallic Wax Finish - Olive Bronze
Tim Holtz idea-ology CHICHAT VERBIAGES

  6. Judy!!! Your Tim inspired project is a beautiful example of Tim's vintage style yet you've made it a your own. This is a very neat piece! I love your thought process of putting a of those different elements together. The time traveler, the vellum sentiment on the clack face, all of those wonderful vintage images. Beautifully done! I also wanted to thank you for the nice comment you left on my blog. Hugs, Candy
